The 2026 Heritage Preservation Awards
Saturday May 2nd, Downtown Dallas Public Library, 7th Floor
I have been selected to receive the 2026 Heritage Preservation Award for our/my work at the Dallas City Cemetery over these last 9 years. The award ceremony is to take place at the Downtown Branch of the Dallas Public Library this Saturday, May 2nd just after noon on the 7th floor.
If you are able to attend and are unfamiliar with the library’s parking system, use your GPS to navigate to “Dallas Public Library”. With driving directions, it will take you to the rear of the building where there is ample free parking and you won’t have to deal with the rain either.
I would love to have you there with me, so we can celebrate the kickoff of this new construction phase. It was 8 years ago this month that we first gathered en masse to survey the cemetery
I couldn’t be more excited to have our Cemetery rescue begin to see the recognition we need to raise the remaining funds to finish the job.
